In collaboration with the municipality of Jbail-Byblos and with the precious support of the Ministry of Culture/ Directorate General of Antiquities, Bassma launched this week its new office in Jbeil.
This year, Bassma has expanded its reach to serve more families across Lebanon.
In the Jbeil, Kherbeh, Ghalboun and Tripoli regions, the association helps today 200 families. The objective of having an office in Jbeil is mainly to be closer to these families and offer them better support in these difficult times we are going through. We aim also to reach more families in need in these regions.
A big thank you to Solidarité France Liban for their precious support and food boxes that have been distributed on that beautiful day, with the promise of continuity of support.
Mrs. Sandra Klat Abdelnour, President of Bassma, stated during the launching event: "It is a delightful day for our team to officially start operations on the ground in Jbeil, and to be able to serve more families in need who are struggling in these tough times. This is the start of a beautiful cooperation with the municipality of Jbeil and the Directorate General of Antiquities, and a blessed day to all".
Bassma is an association founded in 2002, that currently helps more than 600 families across Lebanon. Its activities include among others: distribution of monthly food and hygiene packages to 600 families, offering of 50,000 hot meals per year on a daily basis, and education to hundreds of young people every year through a Night School program.
