On Sunday March 18, BASSMA celebrated Mother's Day with 90 of its family members, on a trip to one of the most renowned historical and cultural destinations in Lebanon: Baalbek!

Family members were excited to visit the famous temples that most were seeing for the first time!

The first stop was at Mar Elias church in Zahlé.

Afterwards, the group enjoyed a delicious Lebanese lunch at a restaurant in Raas El Ain. BASSMA's families were ecstatic with the mezze, mashawi, drinks, music, and the traditional narguileh! Away from the stress of everyday life, they were smiling and feeling happy to be there with their loved ones!

After lunch, children rushed around their mothers with their Mother's Day gifts prepared by BASSMA's team: a tissue box with a frame containing a picture of their family.

The lunch was followed by a visit to the famous Baalbek Fortress, and everyone was astonished by the beautiful fortress and its gardens!
