BASSMA organized in the collaboration with the Alumni Association of Notre-Dame des Frères School at Furn El Chebbak its Annual Easter Lunch for 50 abandoned deprived elderly. The gathering was very joyful, with delicious platters on the menu:
- Sambousiks
- Mdardra and Fattouch
- Siyadieh
- Kebbeh Laktine
- and Maamouls as dessert.
Present at the lunch were BASSMA's president, Mrs. Sandra Klat Abdelnour, and BASSMA's team members Mrs Claude Aoucar, Mrs Hoda Feghali, Mrs Mimi Sabella and Mrs Nada Samen.
Also among those attending, were the president of the Alumni Association of Notre-Dame des Frères School at Furn El Chebbak, Mr. Antoine Abou-Chedid, other members of the Alumni Association including Mr. Raymond Ghanem, and the Head of the School, Mr. Joseph Alwan.
The president of the Alumni Association Mr. Antoine Abou-Chedid made a welcoming speech where he wished everyone a Happy Easter and good health and success this year. He also thanked BASSMA and its members and volunteers for their hard work.
BASSMA's President, Mrs. Sandra Klat Abdelnour, expressed her gratitude to the head of Alumni Association and its members for their collaboration with BASSMA and its Smiles Restaurants. Thanks to their precious cooperation, BASSMA had the possibility organize weekly lunches for the deprived elderly at Furn El CHebbak since 2010.
Mrs. Abdelnour also thanked BASSMA's team of committed women for their heartfelt dedication and servings during these lunches.
Last but not least, the president of BASSMA asked everyone to take a moment and thank God because He is the reason of these lunches, He makes it possible for BASSMA to care and for those who need it the most.
The elderly expressed their contentment by singing and dancing. Some even sang traditional Lebanese songs and made "Sajals"
BASSMA would like to thank Allumettes restaurant for offering the delicious meals and to all those who made this lunch successful.
