As part of its philanthropic initiatives for education, Bank Audi sal - Audi Saradar Group sponsored the 2012 Evening School organized by BASSMA to the benefit of deprived children.
Bank Audi's communication team visited BASSMA's Evening School premises in Gemmayze and attended the math course given by professor Fadi Darouni (teacher at Collège Notre-Dame de Jamhour). This visit was an occasion for the team to meet, among others, the students of the Salma Sayegh public school, as well as the school principal, Mrs. Jasmin Frem, who outlined the importance of this program and its great impact on the results of deprived students in public schools.
During this visit, BASSMA's president, Mrs. Sandra Klat Abdelnour, thanked Bank Audi for its interest in youth and for sponsoring the 2012 project which will allow students to build themselves a beaming future.
BASSMA's Evening School project was launched in the summer of 2011 and consisted in providing make up courses for public school students in all fields of study (Arabic, French, Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology). The objective is to fill their numerous academic gaps and enable them to pass their final exams, namely the official "brevet" exam.
After 217 intensive courses in 2011 with professors from the best private schools in the country, the result was highly satisfactory: 98% of participants successfully completed their academic year, which encouraged BASSMA to further develop this program.
In 2011, 50 students benefited from the Evening School courses. Thanks to various donations and sponsors, BASSMA hopes to double this number in 2012.
