“Like every year, we, at the Four Points by Sheraton Le Verdun, as part of “Starwood Cares”, wanted to give back to our community. And like every year our partner in crime is BASSMA.
This year we have decided to help renovating a rundown house and we were directed by the very able hands of BASSMA to the correct place.
We went for a first visit to inspect the house and assess the amount of help we can provide.
We put our plan in place, prepared all we needed and came back ten days later... full of enthusiasm...Too many to fit in the small place.
We started by cleaning the house... the walls, the ceiling... then it started getting dark & found out that there was no light where we were working... so we added this to our “To Do List”.
We painted, we replaced the wood that was placed on the windows of the “so called” bathroom they have by tainted glass, we placed lights, we cleaned, we placed extra cupboards, etc ... and one of them helped the kids with their homework.
Still having a lot to do, we started to realize that it’s getting too late and that we have to get back another time.
We bid farewell to the family with a promise of a “See you soon...”

This letter has been drafted to express appreciation and gratitude for your dedication and exemplary contribution with BASSMA to the most deprived members of our society. I have had the privilege to collaborate with you in more than one activity and have been impressed by the level of professionalism and transparency in tracking and spending donations. Furthermore what I found to be more impressive is the full commitment of all BASSMA's members to the Mission of BASSMA and that every single one is involved on all levels of the humanitarian work. You manage to replace tears with smile and are actively fighting injustice and poverty without any discrimination between nationalities, religion or gender.

Based on the knowledge I have of your work, you are one of the most qualified and energetic NGO's.

Congratulations, you do really deserve all the recognition and appreciation from not only the mentioned Committee Members but also from all the people who can understand the effort you are endeavoring to make BASSMA grow for the sake of the poor.

Be assured that whether you win the 1st position or not is totally irrelevant since the noble cause you are carrying is to Help and Assist, something you are consistently striving to do.

I really want to express my gratitude to BASSMA for allowing us and giving us the opportunity to be productive in our society.
