Recruiting and supporting

new families

500 new families recruited all over Lebanon

128 new families recruited after the blast on August 4, in the damaged areas

Zero Hunger

Food and hygiene packs distribution

270,000 food & hygiene items distributed all over Lebanon

384 food & hygiene packs in the areas affected by the blast

Hot meals distribution for families and elderlies

6,000 hot meals are distributed each month, on a daily basis, 7 days a week, in Bassma’s smile restaurant, and in the damaged areas by the blast.

Quality Education

Filling educational gaps of public-school students

One-to-one online tutoring, due to the spread of Covid-19:

100 Private schools’ students volunteered to tutor 100 younger public-school students.

Good Health and Well-Being

Physical and Mental medical assistance

Monthly distribution of medicines to 128 families

Hearing aid

40 tests done for free, and provision of 10 hearing aids to affected victims in the damaged areas

Gender Equality

Women empowerment

Bassma has recruited a whole new team dedicated to Beirut homes reconstruction:

75% of this team is constituted of women, in managerial positions.

Decent Work & Economic Growth

Launching of an employment platform on Facebook early 2020, exclusively destined to Bassma’s families, that we know on a personal level and can recommend to all potential employers.
